Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Swimtraxx products, shipping, and support

Product

What does the Swimtraxx One track?

In the pool, the Swimtraxx One tracks 9 parameters: heart rate, lap time, stroke type (automatic detection), stroke rate, stroke count, breath count, turn time, underwater time, and stroke length.

How does it attach to my goggles?

The Swimtraxx One clips onto the right side of any standard silicone goggle strap. The sensor sits at your right temple, where it needs skin contact to measure heart rate.

Which goggles are compatible?

Any goggles with a standard silicone strap. Goggles with extended visors (like the Arena Cobra series) may interfere with the heart rate sensor — in that case, you can wear the device under a swim cap.

Can I wear it under a swim cap?

Yes. The Swimtraxx One can be worn under a swim cap, which actually helps ensure consistent skin contact for heart rate measurement.

Is it designed for open water?

The Swimtraxx One is designed for pool swimming. While you can wear it in open water, there is no GPS and the device will only record stroke parameters and heart rate as one continuous lap. It is not an open water device.

Is it approved for competition?

Yes. The Swimtraxx One is approved by World Aquatics under Rule SW 15.3, making it the only goggle-mounted wearable you can use in official competitions.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 8 hours of continuous tracking. Charging takes approximately 2 hours via the included magnetic charger.

How much does it weigh?

Just 12.7 grams. You won’t feel it while swimming.

Is there a subscription or monthly fee?

No. There is no subscription, no monthly fee, and no premium tier. You buy the device once and all features, including the Swimtraxx Hub app, are free forever.

What is the Swimtraxx Chrono?

The Swimtraxx Chrono is a professional-grade digital stopwatch designed for coaches. It features a triple-line LCD display for simultaneous tracking of lap, split, and total elapsed time, 100-lap memory, built-in pacer/metronome mode, and a water-resistant, shock-resistant design.

Swimtraxx Hub App

Is the app free?

Yes, the Swimtraxx Hub app is 100% free forever. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no premium features behind a paywall.

Which platforms is it available on?

Swimtraxx Hub is available on iOS, iPadOS, and Android. There is also a web version, though the web version does not support offloading data from devices.

Do I need a Swimtraxx device to use the app?

No. You can use the Swimtraxx Hub app for workout planning and training management without owning a Swimtraxx device. The device unlocks additional features like automatic swim tracking and real-time heart rate data.

Does it integrate with Strava?

Yes. Swimtraxx Hub supports Strava integration, so your swim sessions are automatically synced.
